Greenhouse grown products of all varieties always offer consistent quality and fresh flavor for every occasion all year round, regardless of season. Find them at selected locations across the lower Mainland.
The origins of BC Hot House go back to 1973 with the foundation of the Western Greenhouse Growers Cooperative Association. In the 1980s they merged with the Vancouver Island Greenhouse Growers Cooperative and in the late 1990s the association incorporated under the name that has stood until today. Now, backed by the world-class capabilities of The Star Group – and thanks to the next-generation food growing processes, innovative seed varietals, and cutting-edge technologies – they offer the reliability and expertise you need to get the produce you want – on time, to your specifications, in any volume, and always to the highest standards of quality and food safety.
In the ’70s, Bernice embarked on a farming journey in South Langley with my family, driven by a commitment to providing homegrown meals for her five sons.
A city girl turned country, she transitioned from milking cows to cultivating veggies and berries in the ’80s.
Guided by the wisdom of her homesteading grandparents, Bernice honed her skills in growing, canning, and preserving.
By the ’90s, Bernice’s products were making waves at Farmers Markets. In 2007, her path intertwined with Glenwood Valley Farms, where she found a platform to expand her creativity and product range.
Today, her jams, jellies, pickles, chutneys, veggies, and berries grace the shelves of stores across the Lower Mainland. With gratitude for her dedicated team, Bernice envisions continuing to share her passion for farming as long as she can.
